Then all you have to do is make a 50/50 mixture of equal parts of water and white vinegar. It doesn’t matter what kind of white vinegar but it has to be white vinegar or it won’t work. For some reason the fruit flies aren’t attracted to red cider vinegar. Then add a few drops of dish soap to the mix in order to reduce the surface tension of the mixture so that when the fruit flies land on the vinegar mix they will sink instead of just landing on top to get a drink.
